HARRISBURG –During a recent visit to Union County, Sen. Gene Yaw (R-23), Chairman of the Center for Rural Pennsylvania Board of Directors, along with fellow Board members visited Ritz-Craft Corporation to discuss the company’s future development plans.
“The team from Ritz-Craft has a proven track record in the manufacturing and hospitality industries and I am thrilled to see their expansion into other areas of business,” Yaw said. “This multi-generational company brings high-quality facilities and jobs to Union County and creates substantial economic benefits for our region. It was great to visit this local, family-owned business and I am looking forward to their continued progress.”
Graduates of Lycoming College, the owners have already expanded into several other successful business ventures in the area including Rusty Rail Brewing Company and Legacy Crafted Cabinets. Joined by Ritz-Craft owners, Paul and Eric John, and their team, Yaw and the Board made stops at several facilities under the Ritz-Craft umbrella.
“My brother Eric and I were pleased to host the Center for Rural PA during their visit to Union County,” Ritz-Craft President and CEO, Paul John, said. “We appreciate the interest the Board of Directors showed during a tour of our facilities at The Rusty Rail Brewing Company and Legacy Crafted Cabinets. Whether it was the trophies in the Game Room, the charm of the Great Room, the history of the Pardee Room & The Cage, our unique brewing process, the extent of our 90,000 square foot cabinet factory, or our 70-year family-owned company history, the visiting delegation of legislators, professors, and government officials was shown the dedication the John Family has to the Borough of Mifflinburg. We are excited about the exceptional support offered by Sen. Yaw towards the John Family’s continuous investment in the economic development, historic restoration, and tourism of the Borough of Mifflinburg.”
With approximately 700 employees, Ritz-Craft is the largest employer in Mifflinburg and the 3rd largest in Union County. Since the company’s origination in 1954, Ritz-Craft has built over 100,000 homes. For more information on the Ritz-Craft Corporation, visit www.ritz-craft.com.
