HARRISBURG – The state Senate Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee will consider a measure to support agricultural conservation projects during a meeting set for Monday (June 7), according to Committee Chairman Senator Elder Vogel. The committee will meet at 12:45 p.m. in Room 461 of the Main Capitol to consider Senate Bill 465.
Introduced by Senator Gene Yaw (R-23), the bill would establish an Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program to provide for local conservation districts throughout the Commonwealth to directly receive and manage funding for agricultural conservation projects determined by local officials to significantly improve local water quality.
