Vandine Confirmed as District Judge in Sullivan County

(HARRISBURG)  Sullivan County once again has a full-time District Magisterial Judge, according to Sen. Gene Yaw, R-Loyalsock.

"I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Vandine was confirmed today by the full Senate as the District Magisterial Judge replacing retired Judge Linda Baumunk," Yaw said.  "Jennifer won both the Republican and Democratic primaries in May and she will be elected to the post in November."

"At the request of Judge Brendan J. Vanston, I immediately took steps to see if we could get Jennifer confirmed as soon as possible," Yaw said.  "Judge Baumunk retired at the end of last year and the office was being covered by senior magisterial judges from around the area."

"I am pleased that my colleagues in the Senate agreed to move forward on this nomination prior to the upcoming November election."

Vandine is currently the Chief Deputy Sheriff in Sullivan County.  She completed the Minor Judiciary Education and Training Course in October 2008.
